Our Story
We have gone to great lengths to provide the most enjoyable and safe
environment for people to dance in. We look forward to you visiting us
and experiencing our VIBE.
VIBE is a brand new, 2,700 square foot, state-of-the-art dance studio located in Martinez, CA. As you enter the reception area, you can enjoy watching performances from the instructors on the 65” flat screen TV, or shop for some new VIBE gear in our retail corner. Help yourself to water from the dispenser or any of the beverages in the small refrigerator, which are always free. Just beyond the reception counter is the Small Studio, which can be seen through the large wall of glass. At 700 square feet, this studio provides a cozy space for group lessons, private instruction or individual/partner rehearsals. Along with 42 feet of mirrors, this studio has an open and bright feel during the day and a picturesque view of the rolling hills. At night, you can turn on the LED track lights above the mirrors, LED ceiling lights or the RGB color-changing strip lights, which run the entire perimeter of the ceiling for a completely different vibe. Connect wirelessly to the Bose L1 Pro 16 and enjoy the unbelievable sound this small, powerful system has to offer.
Next door is the main VIBE studio, which is 1,700 square feet. This studio has black ceilings, 49 feet of mirrors, LED ceiling lights, LED track lights, RGB color-changing lights along the entire perimeter of the ceiling, color-changing light cubes and color-changing floor lamps, restroom and private office. This studio is perfect for large group lessons and performances but can also be used for private lessons and solo/partner work. For sound, we went with the Bose L1 Pro 32 which will blow you away with its deep bass, clean midrange and crisp highs. With 3 inputs, connect a microphone, instrument or any of your devices wirelessly and you are ready to vibe.
Let’s talk about flooring. We’ve all experienced tired legs and sore feet, back and joints after a long night of dancing. Imagine being a dancer who spends countless hours every day and week, jumping, stomping, turning, twirling and sliding on a hard surface. Even with cushioned shoes, the cumulative and repetitive impacts can put a tremendous amount of strain on your entire body, especially your back, knees and ankles. The best way to prevent against this and any potential injuries, is to dance on a cushioned floor. There are many types of cushioned floors, including floating and sprung floors. We’ve designed a custom, cushioned dance floor that has 3/4” rubber under padded Luxury Vinyl Tile. The result is a cushioned floor that doesn’t feel too bouncy, so you can feel connected to the floor, but not so firm that you run the risk of injury to your joints and bones. It’s the perfect combination of firm and cushioned so you can dance longer and safer.
What about Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning? Simply moving and recirculating air around an enclosed indoor space by using fans is no longer safe, in the wake of the pandemic we have all lived through for the past 2 years. Current CDC recommendations are to increase the introduction of outdoor air into your space and to help us achieve this at VIBE, we have two (2) state of the art air-conditioning units serving our studio, for the safety of our instructors, their students and all other visitors. They are equipped with economizers to bring in fresh air, ionizers, HEPA filters and UV lights, all of which meet or exceed current CDC recommendations to reduce exposure to COVID-19.
