ISABELLA'S BIO

Izzy Gonzales discovered her love for dancing at the young age of three in her ballet classes at a studio in her local mall. When Izzy and her family made the move from Antioch to Lafayette, Izzy wanted to continue her dance journey and joined Studio A. After dancing there for a year recreationally, she joined the competition team. Under the leadership of Aggie Eidson and her staff, Izzy was formally trained in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, and pointe. Through her various duo/trio/group numbers, Izzy and her team were able to win overall regional and national titles. She competed with Studio A from 2006-2017. In Izzy’s last year at Studio A, she developed her love for dance when she was given the opportunity to teach Intro to Ballet, Combo Class (ballet and tap), and Intro to Jazz. Izzy has also expanded her dance knowledge through outside opportunities including: a week-long ballet intensive in Las Vegas with Tara Foy, a five-week intensive in New York with Alvin Ailey, and heels and jazz funk classes at Full Out Studios in Oakland. Izzy strongly believes in pushing her students to their fullest potential, both physically and emotionally. She hopes to educate her students on positivity, empowerment, and hard work ethic through dance and movement. Her style focuses on musicality, passion, and emotion. Izzy wants VIBE to be a safe place for her students to grow and learn more about dance and themselves.

Amy's Bio

Amy is a 200-RYT and certified Theta Healing practitioner with a strong desire to share the benefits of yoga and living in the present moment with as many people as possible. She teaches a powerful Vinyasa flow with a playful and spiritual vibe, that is accessible to all levels and a gentle Restorative class perfect to restore body and soul. Having been guided on to this journey of self discovery by her own teachers, Amy considers herself to be an eternal student and she invites you to join her on this mindful path.

ANNEMIEKE'S BIO

Almost 20 years ago I became a certified Jazzercise instructor. I fell in love with the program as a student right after I emigrated from the Netherlands to the United States. I started out as a substitute but for over 16 years I have owned and operated a successful Jazzercise business with my team of instructors in this part of Contra Costa County.

Dancing has been a passion of mine since I was a little girl and since Jazzercise is a dance-based fitness program, it was a perfect match. I absolutely love teaching and love helping people of all abilities and all ages to become and stay active through cardiovascular conditioning and strength training. Seeing people smile and laugh in my classes are key ingredients to connecting with my customers in their wellness journey.

I love spending time with my family and good friends. I enjoy traveling, hiking, skiing, biking, laughing, healthy cooking (and eating), good coffee and wine.

It’s my pleasure to serve our fitness community as part of Vibe Dance Studio!

KRYSTLE'S BIO

Krystle has been performing 'ori Tahiti for more than 20 years and spent several years dancing for one of California's top Polynesian dance groups "Hitia O Te Ra". She has competed and excelled in several Tahitian dance competitions, and has produced childrens' workshops and performances in the US, Cambodia and Australia.

Solo competition career:

In addition to 'ori Tahiti, Krystle seeks inspiration from many other forms of movement and has studied jazz, contemporary, Latin, and hip hop. She has a deep passion for volunteering with organizations across the globe. In recent years, she has traveled overseas as a volunteer to aid women & children in Cambodia, and hopes to do more work in community economic development.

CHARITY'S BIO

Charity started her 'ori Tahiti journey at the age of 7 years old in Honolulu, Hawaii and danced in the weekend shows at the Ala Moana Shopping Center. Her family moved to the Bay Area at the age of 11 where she joined local dance company Te Mana O Te Ra under the direction of Lisa & Rey Aguilar. Charity danced with them for over 30 years and was co-creative director for many years.

Solo competition career:

Overall soloist winner for 5 years in a row at the Merced Tahiti Fête.
In 1994 Charity competed as a soloist at the San Jose Tahiti Fête. That year, Charity became San Jose Tahiti Fete's first ever overall award winner as they created the title for her due to her scores being well above the average for both female & male categories. San Jose Tahiti Fete was known at the time as the United States largest Tahitian dance competition and considered the Olympics of Tahitian dance.

As an experienced and passionate Breakin Instructor, I believe in an approach that gives students positive, constructive ways to learn. I design my lessons according to my students’ needs, with an emphasis on confidence-boosting activities. My job is a passion for me, and it brings me joy to be able to share this passion with my students. From day one, students learn important foundational techniques to help them boost their skills. confidence, coordination, flexibility, and self-esteem. Each student has a unique learning style, and it’s my duty to find out what that is and adapt my lessons accordingly. I want to empower, create, motivate, and educate the next generation in breakin & Hip Hop.

Isabel Jones BIO

Isabel Jones is a Bay Area dancer who has been dancing since before she could walk. She began her dance journey at the age of 5 and while she is trained in hip hop and contemporary dance styles, she has the strongest connection to K-pop dancing. As a longtime K-pop fan, Isabel expressed her love for the genre while gaining a social media following by posting dance covers of K-pop choreography (@_isabae_). From 2014 to 2018, she was a member and an artistic director of UC Davis’s K-pop dance team, SoNE1. In 2022, she was featured as a cast member and dancer of Emmy-winning "Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls” on Amazon Prime Video. Through her dance career on social media, she fights the stigma brought upon full-figured dancers daily and strives to make dance a safe space for everyone who simply wants to share their joy of dance.

MISS GENNA

Miss Gemma

Miss Genna is a hip hop dance instructor who began dancing at the age of 7 and has trained in various styles such as Hula/Tahitian and ballroom. It wasn’t until freshman year of high school where she fell in love with hip hop. She started taking recreational hip hop dance classes and danced with competition group Xplicit, under the instruction of Clint Calimlim at WSPA. Since then, Miss Genna has always loved going out to community dance events and competitions in hopes to one day teach and inspire students like herself.

Miss Genna later danced with For The Cause dance crew. They performed around the Bay Area and entered local competitions such as Last Crew Standing and Hip Hop 4 Hope, where they won first place. They had the opportunity to open up for Ludacris at SpringFest.

She has taught at a few dance studios in the Bay Area and had the opportunity to direct Genesis, a competition group for SOC studio for sometime. One memorable event was performing at the 49ers halftime show with Snoop Dogg. Miss Genna is focusing on hip hop recreational classes to continue to train, inspire and share her passion of dance with her students.

During the week, Miss Genna is working in the medical field. When she is not teaching and dancing, Miss Genna is baking cookies or spending time with her family and kids.
